ArcGIS WMS server over SSL

I have arcbrutile installed in an ArcMap 10 desktop.  The OpenStreets map is working out of the toolbar and the sample WMS-C works too.

Now what I'd like to hit is an ArcGIS server WMS which is running over SSL.  It's coming back with a "No service tag found".  This does work as an ArcGIS WMS service.  So I am wondering if SSL support is in.

My ultimate goal is to have this all work out of dotSpatial, I thought I'd try it first from ArcMap.

there is no support for SSL at the moment

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

While I would not normally expect SSL to be used, the server our WS is on currently uses SSL on every site by policy.

Since we are on the security topic, wondering if blutile supports anything else like token or even an embedded username/password.  This is pretty much like SQL connection security.  No doubt an IP based restriction can be done, just wondering if something else is possible currently.

not at the moment, but you can better discuss this on the BruTile forum http://brutile.codeplex.com/discussions
